Timetable for Application Process to
Yeshivat Or Chaim & Ulpanat Orot

December - January 31

Application to be received in the school office along with:

  • registration fee
  • a copy of the birth certificate
  • two passport-size photographs
  • a copy of the latest report card

Applications are processed as they are received. Submitting all the required material in a prompt manner will help ensure a timely response. No final decisions will be made regarding any student without the above information.

Early January

Entrance examination for the boys will be held at Or Chaim; time and date TBA.

Entrance examination for the girls will be held at Ulpana; time and date TBA.

Mid-January

Personal interviews begin for prospective students and their parents. Interviews will generally be held from 2:00 p.m. onwards. The office will phone every prospective family to set up an interview once an application has been received. If you have a special request, please feel free to phone the office so that special times can be set.

Your son/daughter will need to bring:

  • a copy of the last report card
  • Health Card number
  • a copy of birth certificate
  • two passport sized photographs (if they have not already been sent in to the office)

Your son will need to prepare a piece of Gemara to read and discuss with the Rosh Yeshiva. It should be a piece that he has learned that year in school and should be approximately one-half page in length. No final decisions will be made regarding any student without a copy of his report card.
